Day 14 – #HOF21DAYS – Food Challenge

You are getting the point, that exercise is a critical part of your health journey. The other main part to the success equation will be your nutrition. If you are working out imagehard, sleeping well, but eating poorly, you are just negating the hard work and the amount of energy put forth daily. Feed your body nutrients that will not help with recovery but aid in burning fat throughout the day, as well as the post workout benefits you receive from these HIIT workouts. HIIT + Healthy Eating + adequate rest = success! I bet you wish math was that simple:) so the rules for today is not to do 100 burpees for time, but to plan out tonight’s meal. Ok, you may have prepped your meals for the week already, but if you didn’t, this challenge is applicable to you.

Choose tonight or one night this week to cook a vegetarian meal of your choice. Take photos along the way of the process and then post a photo of the final and inspire others including yourself. Bon Appetit!

According to the ADA, vegetarians are at lower risk for developing:

Heart disease
Colorectal, ovarian, and breast cancers
Hypertension (high blood pressure)

This is because a healthy vegetarian diet is typically low in fat and high in fiber. However, even a vegetarian diet can be high in fat if it includes excessive amounts of fatty snack foods, fried foods, whole milk dairy products, and eggs. Therefore, a vegetarian diet, like any healthy diet, must be well planned in order to help prevent and treat certain diseases. So plan, plan, plan and consider maybe one day out of the week to eat a vegetarian diet to flush your system and reduce the chances of any adverse health risks.
