In Under 30 Days…Triathlon #1

Nicole and I will be participating in our first triathlon; Celebration Triathlon on Sunday, June 27th. The anxiety is picking up on my end for sure. Nicole is cool as a cucumber:) Today I will pick up my swim suit and practice floating in my tub to break this nervousness, lol. I read in this article (below) on active about first time triathletes. They said, “A triathlon isn’t three events, but one event with three forms of locomotion.” So I’m keeping that in mind as I keep a steady pace. While the swimming could be a strength for some, the biking and running could be where they fall weak. So my goal is to relax and just FINISH STRONG. As sick as it sounds, I want to sign-up for another one on September, but we’ll see how this one goes first:)

As an FYI; I’m doing this triathlon (and the Baltimore Half or Full) on behalf of TEAM FIGHT. An organization developed to help increase awareness of adults fighting cancer. It’s a great support group that is really make their mark to fight this disease. As a new member of TEAM FIGHT, I vowed to raise money for them. So please help me reach my goal of $750.00.
