Hardbody Outdoor Fitness & Pepsi Refresh Project

On March 1st, I will be submitting a proposal to the Pepsi Refresh Project. The focus will be on childhood obesity in the Baltimore/Columbia area and I will be needing some support…YOUR HELP!! This is not going to be an easy task, but what in life is easy. So you ask, “What kind of help would HARDBODY OUTDOOR FITNESS need?”. Thank you for asking:) Once it’s submitted, the proposals will need to be voted on to show public support. Not necessarily Maryland support, but from all over the U.S. You could vote everyday and if you send it to someone else, it will help get this idea off the ground. I would love to share this idea with people in the MD area because childhood obesity has an impact on so many. Obese at-risk kids are picked on, taken advantage of, set low expectations for themselves and self-esteem broken down everyday because of the choices many parents, schools and friends make. I think I have one healthy approach and it’s not just about exercising with them…but MUCH MORE!! I will need resources and Pepsi will provide the funds and you can help make this happen. Check out some details of the grant project below (video, etc.)

Have an idea for a service project you’d like to start in your community?  Or are you currently involved in a community project that could use some additional funding?  If so, Pepsi wants to help!  Starting January 13th, individuals and non-profits can submit their project idea and each month thePepsi Refresh Project will award up to 1.3 million dollars to the ideas that receive the most votes from the public. You can submit your idea to compete for $5,000; $25,000; $50,000; or $250,000.  And if at first you don’t succeed, submit your idea again the next month for another chance to have your project funded.  Visitwww.refresheverything.com or download the toolkit for more information.
