HOF “Strengthen My Core” CHALLENGE (February 2017)
The first HOF Challenge for 2017, is the HOF “Strengthen My Core” Challenge. This challenge will take place over 30 days, but 21 days of actual workouts to follow. You will have to follow the HOF YouTube Channel for daily videos in order to follow. You will need to subscribe to the channel by following the Hardbody Outdoor Fitness YouTube Channel.
HOF ONE MILE PLUS CHALLENGE (March 2016)
The most current HOF Challenge for 2016, is the HOF ONE MILE PLUS Challenge (#HOF1MilePlus). It’s a challenge that encourages participants to walk, jog or run a mile a day. Well, not exactly everyday. There are built in rest days and an exercise to assist in getting anyone who is interested, to perform a cardio, upper body, lower body and core exercise. HOF 21 DAY CHALLENGE (February 2015)
The Hardbody Outdoor Fitness 21 Day Challenge was a great opportunity to get participants from all over to get active. We had over 200 participants this time and definitely appreciate the support and sharing of this challenge. Can you believe, we have people in Africa, Europe and Australia participating? Here are a few videos from the challenge and you can always follow these videos to get some ideas on how to remain active throughout the year. HIIT is a training idea in which low to moderate intensity intervals are alternated with high intensity intervals. HIIT can be applied to running or to exercises such as squatting. HIIT is considered to be much more effective than normal cardio because the intensity is higher and you are able to increase both your aerobic and anaerobic endurance while burning more fat than ever before. “In research, HIIT has been shown to burn adipose tissue more effectively than low-intensity exercise – up to 50% more efficiently.” It has also been shown to speed up your metabolism which helps you burn more calories throughout the day. So be prepared for your intro course on HIIT and ways to stay motivated and healthy during the challenge.
